Major League Baseball announced on May 15 that fans can watch select out-of-market games for free on MLB.TV during the second annual Rivalry Weekend, presented by Booking.com. The offer runs through Sunday and does not require a credit card; viewers only need an MLB.com account to access the games.

This initiative allows baseball fans to stream every out-of-market game live or on demand using supported devices throughout the season. However, it excludes Apple TV games scheduled for Friday, as well as the MLB Sunday Leadoff Game and the Sunday Night Baseball game airing on Peacock.

MLB.TV subscribers also have access to live Minor League games and MLB Big Inning, which features live look-ins, breaking highlights, and key moments from around Major League Baseball as they happen throughout the season. According to Major League Baseball, this service brings nightly baseball action directly to fans.

Rivalry Weekend will feature several notable matchups including Yankees at Mets in a Subway Series with both teams bringing significant star power despite their different positions in league standings. Other highlighted series include Padres at Mariners—a potential World Series preview—Reds at Guardians for Ohio bragging rights, Phillies at Pirates in an all-Pennsylvania matchup with postseason implications, and Red Sox at Braves revisiting a historic rivalry between two teams with a combined thirteen World Series titles.

The promotion aims to give more fans access to high-profile rivalry games and showcase some of this season’s most anticipated matchups.
