MLB.com experts announced on May 19 their predictions for the 2026 All-MLB Team, highlighting standout performances from both established stars and emerging players. The selections were made based on results so far this season and expectations for the remainder of the year.

The annual All-MLB Team poll features one player at each infield position, three outfielders, a designated hitter, five starting pitchers, and two relievers per team. Notable first-team selections include Shea Langeliers as catcher, Matt Olson at first base, Brice Turang at second base, José Ramírez at third base, Bobby Witt Jr. at shortstop, and outfielders Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and Mike Trout. Yordan Alvarez was named as the first-team designated hitter.

Several players have demonstrated strong performances to earn their spots. For example, Langeliers is ranked third in Major League Baseball with a .997 OPS and holds a .335 batting average. Baldwin leads qualifying catchers with 13 home runs while maintaining a .303 batting average. Olson continues his streak of consecutive games played while leading his team offensively.

Other key highlights include Brice Turang’s improvement in on-base percentage to .403 and his emergence as a versatile player praised by Aaron Judge. On the pitching side, Paul Skenes has posted an impressive stretch with a 1.09 ERA over eight starts between his first and most recent outings this season; Shohei Ohtani has excelled on the mound despite offensive struggles.

The poll also recognizes players making significant leaps or comebacks—such as Mike Trout’s resurgence after injury-plagued seasons—and those showing breakout potential like Elly De La Cruz of Cincinnati or Ben Rice of New York Yankees.

As the season progresses toward its conclusion later this year, these predictions will be tested against actual results when final All-MLB Teams are announced.
