Milbank LLP announced on May 12 that its London-based attorneys have contributed two chapters to Project Finance 2026 (15th Edition), an International Comparative Legal Guide published by Global Legal Group.

The guide is a resource for professionals in the project finance sector, providing insights into key transactions and developments. Milbank’s involvement includes analysis of significant projects and trends in both the United Kingdom and international markets.

Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance consulting partner John Dewar, partner Seyda Duman, senior associate Samuel Forsyth, and trainee solicitor James Hill co-authored the “United Kingdom” country chapter. This section covers major transactions such as Sizewell C, East Anglia THREE, Inch Cape, and the Haweswater Aqueduct Resilience Programme. It also discusses important legislative and regulatory changes affecting the UK project finance market.

Dewar also authored a separate chapter titled “Why the World Needs Project Bonds (and Project Finance Lawyers),” which examines how capital markets are playing an increasing role in project financing. The chapter highlights recent deals including the EIG Pearl Holdings dual-tranche amortising bond, GreenSaif project sukuk, and Valia Energía bond financing in Mexico.

These contributions reflect Milbank’s ongoing engagement with developments in global project finance.
