Marist University President Kevin C. Weinman met with the institution’s most recent Distinguished Teaching Award winner to discuss her path to academia, her leadership in artificial intelligence education, and her interest in pickleball, according to a May 13 announcement.

The conversation highlighted the professor’s achievements in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. The discussion explored how she developed a passion for teaching and how she is contributing to advances in AI education at Marist University.

Following their conversation, Weinman joined the professor on the pickleball court where he learned about key aspects of the game such as “the kitchen” and “dinking.”
