U.S. Representative Jerry Nadler, who has served New York’s 12th congressional district since 1992, posted a series of statements on his social media accounts criticizing Republican policies and reiterating his stance on former President Donald Trump’s legal troubles.
On August 20, 2025, Nadler addressed the impact of proposed Republican legislation: “Republicans’ Big Ugly Law will wipe out thousands of good-paying clean energy jobs and raise electricity prices for families and small businesses. Trump and Republicans aren’t looking out for your pockets, they’re helping Big Oil stuff theirs.”
The following day, on August 21, Nadler posted: “https://t.co/q7GOAEMz2j”.
Also on August 21, Nadler commented on Donald Trump’s legal situation: “Trump is still convicted of fraud. Full stop. I stand with @NewYorkStateAG appealing the decision related to the fine. Trump must be punished for the egregious level of fraud he committed to New Yorkers. https://t.co/CoQ5ryUmuG”
Nadler’s remarks are part of his long-standing legislative record in Congress representing New York’s 12th District, a position he has held since succeeding Ted Weiss in 1992. Prior to his time in Congress, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 1992. Born in New York City in 1947 and currently residing in Manhattan, Nadler is an alumnus of Columbia University and Fordham University School of Law.
