A Jamestown woman has been sentenced for her involvement in a drug conspiracy case. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Holly Berenguer, 43, received a sentence of time served and four years of supervised release from U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, on September 5, 2021, Berenguer was arrested by a Jamestown Police Officer due to an active bench warrant for failing to appear in Jamestown City Court. During processing, police found a white powdery substance and $450 hidden in her clothes. The substances tested positive for heroin and methamphetamine.
Violanti stated that between September 2020 and September 2021, Berenguer distributed large amounts of heroin and fentanyl in the Jamestown area as part of the conspiracy.
The investigation was conducted under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) program, which targets major criminal organizations through a coordinated approach involving multiple agencies led by prosecutors and guided by intelligence.
