Jacob Snow, a 39-year-old resident of Jamestown, New York, has been sentenced to 46 months in prison for his involvement in a narcotics conspiracy. The sentencing was handed down by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo following Snow’s conviction.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, Snow participated in a drug distribution scheme between January and May 24, 2021. He conspired with Alisha A. Klinger and others to sell heroin, fentanyl, and methamphetamine in the Jamestown area. Snow also collected payments on behalf of Klinger.
On May 24, 2021, an individual who had taken approximately $10,000 worth of heroin/fentanyl and methamphetamine from Snow the previous day was kidnapped at gunpoint and driven to a wooded area. There, the individual was assaulted multiple times by several people including Snow. During the incident, when asked if the victim should be killed, Snow said: “no, I think we should give her the opportunity to pay that back.”
Charges against Alisha A. Klinger are still pending.
The case is part of Operation Take Back America—a national initiative led by the Department of Justice that focuses on combating illegal immigration and eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations through coordinated efforts involving various federal programs such as the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
The investigation involved cooperation among the Jamestown Police Department under Chief Timothy Jackson; the Drug Enforcement Administration led by Special Agent-in-Charge Frank A. Tarentino III of the New York Field Division; and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff James Quattrone.
