A Jamestown man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography, according to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo. Roberto Millan, 36, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara and will also serve 20 years of supervised release.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Maeve E. Huggins stated that Millan communicated with a 15-year-old victim through the TextNow mobile application between December 28, 2021, and February 8, 2022. During this period, Millan instructed the victim to create and send sexually explicit videos and images. The messages also showed that Millan and the victim engaged in sexual contact.

The case was investigated by the Jamestown Police Department, led by Chief Timothy Jackson, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Acting Special Agent in Charge Mark Grimm.
