How many H-1B petitions were made by New York employers classified under the Public Administration industry during 2024?

Employers classified under the Public Administration industry based in New York submitted 87 H-1B petitions during 2024, according to data provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services via the H-1B Employer Data Hub.

Of these, 86 were approved (98.8%), while one was denied (1.2%).

The New York employers which made the most petitions in the Public Administration sector during 2024 included New York Power Authority with 29 petitions and New York City Department of Education with five petitions.

Compared to 2023, the Public Administration sector in New York saw a 33.8% increase in the number of H-1B petitions during 2024.
