Representative Jerry Nadler, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 12th district since 1992, recently addressed several significant issues through his social media platform. His posts touched on legislative actions and government policies that he perceives as problematic.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Nadler expressed concern about a recent vote by House Republicans: “215 House Republicans voted to block all 50 states from protecting workers, tenants, and patients from the risks of AI for 10 years.” He elaborated that this decision would impede state efforts to block AI from denying insurance claims, ban AI rent-hiking algorithms, and defend workers from AI-driven job loss.
Later the same day, Rep. Nadler highlighted what he viewed as contradictory actions regarding addiction and mental health programs: “Today, I voted to reauthorize critical addiction & mental health programs. But I can’t ignore the hypocrisy: House Republicans are reauthorizing life-saving programs with one hand while shamefully allowing the Trump Administration to dismantle them with the other.”
On June 5, Rep. Nadler criticized financial expenditures under the Trump Administration related to diversity initiatives: “More wasted taxpayer money on Trump’s political stunts. While radar outages and staffing shortages actually threaten aviation safety, the Trump Administration spent $2 million of taxpayer dollars chasing conspiracy theories about DEI.” He praised @TransportDems for opposing these expenditures.
Jerry Nadler was born in New York City in 1947 and resides in Manhattan. He holds degrees from Columbia University and Fordham University.
