Molly Guzik and Coco Vandiver were named to the Third Team All-America by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association on May 21. This is the first time both players have received IWLCA All-America distinction. It also marks the fifth time in six seasons that Syracuse has had multiple players selected to the IWLCA All-America teams.
The recognition highlights individual achievements during a strong season for Syracuse. Guzik led the team’s offense with 44 goals and 10 assists, totaling 54 points. She was recognized as a First Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference player, scoring in 18 of her 20 games and recording three or more goals in eight matches. Her standout performance came against then-No. 4 Northwestern, where she scored six goals to help secure a road win. This effort earned her ACC Offensive Player of the Week and USA Lacrosse Magazine’s National Player of the Week honors.
Vandiver finished her career at Syracuse as the program’s all-time leader in caused turnovers with 122, including a single-season mark of 48 this year—the second-highest in school history. She played a key role on defense, helping limit opponents to an average of just over eight goals per game while generating nearly twelve turnovers per contest across one of the most challenging schedules nationally. Vandiver was also named Second Team All-ACC.
Syracuse concluded its season with fourteen wins, reaching as high as No. 3 in national polls and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Looking ahead, season tickets for next year are now available.
