Greenberg Traurig, LLP was recognized on May 13 with the “Best in Patent Portfolio Management Award” by Life Sciences Patent Network (LSPN), highlighting the firm’s leadership in life sciences intellectual property.

The recognition is significant as it marks Greenberg Traurig’s second consecutive year of acknowledgment from LSPN, following its previous award as “Life Sciences Patent Strategy Firm of the Year” in 2025. This underscores the firm’s continued influence and performance within the life sciences sector.

The LSPN judges said: “Greenberg Traurig demonstrates outstanding strength in aligning IP strategy with client business objectives, underpinned by impressive and well-established experience in the medical devices sector. The submission articulates clear and compelling expertise across the life sciences landscape, showcasing a firm that deeply understands how to connect IP strategy to the commercial goals of its clients. Overall, the firm has considerable capability and depth across the field.”

In a joint statement, Co-Chairs of Greenberg Traurig’s Global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group David J. Dykeman and Wayne H. Elowe said: “This recognition reflects our team’s focus on building patent portfolios that are designed to protect innovation, drive enterprise value, enable strategic transactions, and support long-term growth for our clients. Greenberg Traurig is honored that LSPN recognized not only the scale of our practice, but the real-world impact of the work we do alongside leading life sciences companies worldwide.”

Previously announced finalists for other awards included Greenberg Traurig for “Life Sciences Prosecution Firm of the Year” and “Medical Device IP Firm of the Year.” The LSPN Awards USA 2026 are organized by Life Sciences Intellectual Property Review to honor achievements in pharmaceutical and biotech patent protection. Winners were revealed at an April 30 ceremony at Hyatt Regency.

These recognitions reflect broader trends within intellectual property law as firms seek to demonstrate both legal skill and alignment with client business goals.
