Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced on May 15 that it represented Corning Incorporated in negotiating a multiyear commercial and technology partnership agreement with NVIDIA to expand manufacturing of advanced optical connectivity solutions in the United States.
The agreement aims to address growing demand for large-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure by increasing Corning’s domestic fiber production and manufacturing capacity. The companies said the initiative will include building three new advanced manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Texas, which is expected to create more than 3,000 new jobs in the United States.
Corning’s expanded capabilities will support optical connectivity for hyperscale data centers using NVIDIA‑accelerated computing platforms, according to both companies.
“This agreement reflects the continued convergence of advanced manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and long-term supply chain investment in the United States,” Joshua B. Forman and Charles C. Calloway, Jr., Corporate Shareholders at Greenberg Traurig, said in a joint statement. “Corning’s planned expansion demonstrates how strategic partnerships can help scale critical infrastructure while strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities.”
Forman is based in Miami and serves as co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Digital Infrastructure Industry Group. Calloway is based in Chicago and focuses his practice on representing financial institutions and strategic investors in various corporate finance transactions.
