Fubon Group held its annual flagship event, FUBON Talks, on April 14 with a focus on financial fraud prevention, fair customer treatment, sustainable development, and artificial intelligence. The event was led by Daniel M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Group, and Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings.

The gathering aimed to encourage employees from ten subsidiaries to share their frontline experiences in addressing key social issues through practical actions. This reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to integrating innovation with social responsibility.

Daniel M. Tsai said that as Fubon marks its 65th anniversary this year, talent remains the group’s most important foundation. “He expressed his hope that employees will embody the three core qualities of passion, professionalism, and compassion, and make a meaningful impact in their respective roles.” He also described how the origins of FUBON Talks date back to a speech competition founded by Wan Tsai Tsai in 1980 to cultivate critical thinking and communication skills among employees. Over time it has evolved into an event showcasing employee commitment to societal needs.

Richard M. Tsai said this year’s program aligns with four key topics: “financial fraud prevention, fair customer treatment, sustainable development, and AI advancement.” He noted that unlike previous years’ concept-driven discussions: “this year’s program places a stronger emphasis on practical experience-based perspectives.” Employees shared examples of how they address customer needs using professional expertise and frontline service experience.

The event highlighted stories such as improving services for diverse customers and using AI tools to enhance efficiency. As part of its anniversary celebrations this year’s FUBON Talks incorporated themes of legacy and sustainability by inviting past award-winning participants for cross-generational exchange.

In addition to these activities Fubon Financial Holdings recognized the top ten employees with the highest volunteer service hours at the event as part of its “United by Purpose” corporate philanthropy platform established in 2025.

Judges from industry and academia—including Chuan-Hsing Lin from KPMG Sustainability Consulting—provided feedback intended to help translate employee insights into actionable outcomes.

Fubon Financial Holding emphasizes sustainable development while supporting community goals; it provides banking insurance securities asset management services across Asia-Pacific markets according to the official website.
