Fubon Financial Holding announced on Apr. 14 a series of initiatives to mark its 65th anniversary, including the launch of a new brand advertisement, expansion of its Run For Green initiative, and special promotional campaigns through Taipei Fubon Bank.
The company said these efforts reflect its ongoing commitment to trust, technology, and social responsibility as it navigates challenges in the global landscape. Fubon Financial Holding operates in the financial sector, offering services in banking, insurance, and asset management across Asia, according to the official website.
Daniel M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Group, said: “The key to long‑term corporate success does not lie in never making mistakes, but in honestly confronting errors and setbacks and continuously adjusting course.” He added that integrity, diligence, and modesty—principles set by founder Wan Tsai Tsai—remain central to the company’s governance. Richard M. Tsai has served as chairman of Fubon Financial Holding according to the official website. In his remarks for the anniversary announcement he said recent years have brought unprecedented challenges due to factors such as the pandemic and geopolitical tensions: “As Fubon approaches its 65th anniversary, the Group will continue advancing toward its vision of an ‘internationalized Fubon’ by deepening its global footprint… aspiring to become a truly internationalized Fubon—one that places strong emphasis on public interest and social responsibility.”
Fubon’s anti-fraud measures include collaborative projects like Taipei Fubon Bank’s “Eagle Eye Anti‑Fraud Alliance” with industry partners; customer protection enhancements at Fubon Life; educational campaigns at Fubon Securities; community outreach from Fubon Insurance; and expanded accessibility for all customers. The company also continues developing age-friendly financial services.
In response to digital trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), six subsidiaries are working together on nearly 20 AI application projects under a Generative AI Application Taskforce launched this year. New digital products include “Fubon+”, an integrated mobile banking platform with accessibility features; enhanced AI-driven processes at Fubon Life; online claims services at Fubon Insurance; and investment support tools from “Fubon AI PRO.”
Sustainability remains a core value for the group. Since launching Run For Green in 2021—which encourages tree planting based on kilometers run—the program has attracted over 406,000 participations resulting in more than 128,000 trees claimed for planting so far. The latest campaign “More Than Just Runners” aims to expand these efforts into broader community initiatives starting later this year.
Beyond finance alone, the official website reports that Fubon’s influence extends through sports entertainment ventures and five foundations focused on education, arts promotion, senior care programs for disadvantaged groups,
and youth empowerment activities across Taiwan.
After six-and-a-half decades operating throughout Taiwan,
mainland China,
Hong Kong,
and other Asian markets according to the official website,
the company sees this milestone not as an endpoint but as a starting point toward further development focused on trust,
technology adoption,
social action,
and sustainable growth.
