Syracuse University announced on May 15 that five student-athletes from its women’s lacrosse team have been named to the Inside Lacrosse Nike All-America Teams. Izzy Lahah was selected for the Third Team, while Daniella Guyette, Molly Guzik, Emma Muchnick, and Coco Vandiver received Honorable Mentions.
This recognition places Syracuse among the top programs in the country for all-American selections this season. The Orange are tied with Maryland, Michigan, and Northwestern for the second-most honorees nationally, trailing only North Carolina which had six across all teams and honorable mentions.
Lahah played a key role in one of the nation’s strongest defenses by setting a new Syracuse single-season record with 57 caused turnovers. She also collected a team-high 52 ground balls and was previously named to the IWLCA Northeast All-Region team earlier in the week. Guyette anchored the defense as goalkeeper and was named ACC Goalkeeper of the Year after playing over 1,182 minutes against top competition and posting a goals-against average of 7.9 with a .464 save percentage.
On offense, Guzik led her squad with 44 goals and contributed ten assists during her sophomore year. She scored in eighteen out of twenty games played and achieved three or more goals on eight occasions. Her standout performance included six goals against Northwestern in a win that earned her USA Lacrosse Division I Player of the Week honors as well as ACC Offensive Player of the Week recognition.
Muchnick finished her senior season with 25 goals along with career highs in ground balls and caused turnovers. She added nine more goals during postseason play across both ACC and NCAA tournaments. Vandiver concluded her collegiate career as Syracuse’s all-time leader in caused turnovers at 122; she recorded forty-eight this season alone—the second-highest single-season mark behind Lahah’s record—and helped lead a defense that allowed just over eight goals per game.
