The FDA conducted 590 inspections at 569 food and cosmetics companies throughout New York in 2025, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

These inspections represented the highest number of visits by the FDA to any single industry type in New York, accounting for 72.7% of all inspections conducted in the state that year.

Among the food and cosmetics companies in New York, the National Railroad Passenger Company received the greatest number of citations from the FDA in 2025.
