St. John’s Men’s Soccer Head Coach Dr. Dave Masur announced the program’s 2026 schedule on May 20.

The upcoming season features a challenging lineup, with six opponents who reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament and four teams that finished in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25. The Red Storm concluded last season with a record of 9-6-4, making their 23rd NCAA Tournament appearance and remaining unbeaten against top-20 ranked teams during the regular season.

The team will play eight home matches at Cox Family Field at Belson Stadium in Queens, New York, beginning September 1. All home games are scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time, though game times and broadcast details may be updated later in the year. Exhibition matches against Binghamton on August 10 and Stony Brook on August 14 will be open to all fans free of charge.

The Red Storm will open their regular season away at Loyola Maryland on August 20 before traveling to New Hampshire on August 27. Their first home match is set for September 1 against Hofstra, a local rival located just ten miles away who recently advanced to the NCAA Tournament Third Round.

Highlights of the schedule include a rematch with Florida International on September 6—marking thirty years since St. John’s national title win under Masur—and contests against Fordham, Villanova, UNC Wilmington (a first-ever meeting), UConn, Creighton, Monmouth, Georgetown (the reigning league division champions), DePaul, Maryland (featuring two of college soccer’s winningest coaches), Seton Hall, Marquette, and Providence for the regular season finale.

According to the official website, St. John’s Red Storm Men’s Soccer has advanced to the NCAA College Cup four times and won nine BIG EAST Tournament championships while competing in the BIG EAST Conference at the NCAA Division I level using “Red Storm” as its nickname and holding its home games in Queens.

Four teams will qualify for this year’s BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Tournament presented by JEEP at Maryland SoccerPlex from November 12-15.
