Cornell women’s rowing concluded the 2026 Ivy League Women’s Rowing Championships on May 17, competing in several Petite and Grand Finals on Cooper River.
The event marked the end of the season for Cornell, as they participated in four Petite Finals and two Grand Finals. The team finished fourth in the 3V4+ Grand Final and fifth in the non-scoring 4V4+ entry. In other races, Cornell placed seventh out of seven entries in the 2V4+ Grand Final.
In the Petite Finals, Cornell’s boats consistently finished second behind their competitors. The 3V8+ finished second to Columbia, while both the 1V4+ and 2V8+ also took second place behind Columbia and Penn respectively. The day ended with a second-place finish for Cornell’s 1V8+ crew behind Penn.
Princeton secured titles in both top varsity events during the Grand Finals. Yale won the championship for the first varsity four (1V4+) event, while Brown took first place in the third varsity eight (3V8+) race.
Cornell ranked eighth overall with a total of thirteen points in team standings and sixth points toward NCAA automatic qualification. Yale claimed victory with eighty-two points for team standings, while Princeton narrowly surpassed Yale to win NCAA automatic qualifier honors by one point.
