Cornell Athletics announced on May 19 the recipients of its annual senior awards, recognizing student-athletes for outstanding achievements in athletics, leadership, spirit, and inspiration during the Senior Toast event.
The announcement highlights the importance of celebrating not only athletic excellence but also leadership and community impact among graduating seniors at Cornell University.
Lauren Holt (softball), Andrew Johnson (men’s soccer), Ketki Ketkar (women’s fencing), and Cooper Noard (men’s basketball) received the Charles H. Moore Outstanding Senior Varsity Athlete Award for their exceptional performances and contributions to their respective sports. The Ronald P. Matt Dooley (men’s lacrosse), Riley Gerardo (equestrian), Sam Latona (men’s soccer), and Caitlin Tully (women’s lacrosse) were honored with the Mario St. George Boiardi ’04 Leadership Award for embodying strong work ethic and team guidance.
Additionally, Abraham Ailemen, Noah Cummings, Jane McNally, and Emily Pape were recognized with the Kraig H. Kayser MBA ’84 Big Red Athletics Inspiration Award for inspiring accomplishments that resonated throughout Cornell’s athletic programs as well as in academics and service activities.
Award winners included individuals who excelled not only in competition but also contributed significantly through campus initiatives such as founding organizations supporting sustainability or promoting diversity within athletics. Several honorees overcame personal challenges or injuries while maintaining high academic standards or serving as mentors to peers.
The recognition underscores Cornell’s commitment to fostering a culture where achievement is measured by more than just wins—valuing resilience, service to others, academic success, leadership development, and positive influence across campus.
