Conservation Commission to hold regular meeting on May 12

The Village of Hastings-on-Hudson Conservation Commission will hold its regular meeting on May 12 at 8 p.m. via Google Meet, according to a May 11 announcement.

The meeting will cover ongoing and new topics related to conservation efforts in the village. Items on the agenda include approval of the April minutes, updates from subcommittees, and planning for participation in “Spring Thing: Hastings Day” scheduled for May 17.

Commission members are set to discuss collateral and activities for event tables as well as updates regarding walkable and bikeable streets. The agenda also lists several updates including work at Hillside Woods, a recap of the recent “State of the Woods” event, future nature walks, artificial turf at Burke, zero waste initiatives through the TILI Garage project, progress with the Hastings Pollinator Pathway, and collaboration with Westchester Environment Network.

A review of Earth Month activities is planned along with an update from the Parks & Recreation liaison. The meeting will conclude with time allocated for public comment before announcements and adjournment.
