City of Newburgh opens splash pads for 2026 summer season at three parks

The City of Newburgh announced on May 19 that splash pads at Xavier Lunan Park, Tyrone H. Crabb Memorial Park, and Audrey L. Carey Family Park will open for the 2026 summer season starting Tuesday, May 19 at noon.

The opening of these splash pads is intended to provide local families and residents with a safe and enjoyable way to cool off during the warmer months.

According to the announcement, Xavier Lunan Park located at 66 Courtney Avenue and Tyrone H. Crabb Memorial Park at 94 South Street will be open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Audrey L. Carey Family Park, situated at 251 Liberty Street, will operate from noon until 7:00 PM.

“We look forward to welcoming families and residents to a safe and enjoyable summer season,” said city officials in their statement.
